Over the past few months, I’ve been reading Forbes articles that have been ruthless towards the city of Cleveland. Just this month alone, it was ranked the fourth most miserable city to live in!
This saddens me as a Clevelander because I’ve lived here my whole life. Yes, I’ve done my fair share of complaining about the bi-polar weather, the grey skies and winters that seem to last over half the year, etc. I recognize the things that are wrong with this city. I guess what I’m saying is that I see the great things about Cleveland too! So, over the next few weeks, maybe even months, I want to get some opinions on these topics. I want to know:
1) Why you think Cleveland is special? What you like about living here?
2) What do you think Cleveland’s major issues or problems are? What is hurting us?
3) What can we do to help or fix the problems?
I’ll be going around the city and asking random Clevelanders these questions. I’d love for anyone who has an opinion to post it on here as well! Maybe if we all start trying to find solutions to the issues at hand, then something can be done.
Please forgive this random post, but I just had to share this! It is way too funny to leave unposted!
I just happen to be, well, not the “best” of all drivers out there. Let’s just say that I’ve been in 3 accidents (1 wasn’t my fault and was taken off my record), have caused numerous dings and dents on my car and others, and several speeding tickets. Needless to say, I’m the target of any driving joke in my family. I just call it bad luck
Anyways, there is a point to this, I swear! Dan (see “little ‘ole me section for picture) sent me this compilation video of female drivers yesterday to make fun of my horrible track record. I really wanted to be annoyed with him, but instead I cried from laughing so hard!

The force from the impact ripped my seat off!
Here are some pictures of my most recent accident this past summer. For those of you who know the Cleveland area, it was right on the Clague exit, off 480W. In my defense, that exit is always backed up and well…maybe I should have been paying more attention. I was running an errand for my boss.

Later on that night, my family was meeting on the Goodtimes boat for my Mom’s 50th birthday. Luckily, after a severely sprained ankle (most likely from the stilettos I was wearing) and many LONG hours in the hospital, I made it to her party just on time!
If you can relate, please jump in and post your funny stories!
Hello and welcome to my life…in blog form. I’m here to share the well kept secrets of the fun, new and different things to do around the Cleveland area. Many of us don’t get to take advantage of the multicultural aspects and secret little hideaways of C-Town but I’m here to show you what you’re missing! So, if you’re interested in checking out some new things to do and being up to date on the nightlife, then stop by often. Leave comments, suggestions, tips, I want it all. The more I know the more I can share. You’ll even get a little insight to my crazy life here in Cleveland as a struggling, young college grad, looking for my break into the TV news industry. As much as I hate to admit it, my life tends to be quite entertaining.
